Over Visio
Microsoft Visio is een cloudgebaseerde tool voor het maken van stroomschema's en diagrammen, ontworpen om samenwerking te ondersteunen en realtime gegevens te verbinden met werkstromen in bedrijven. Het platform maakt communicatie van complexe informatie mogelijk via gegevensgekoppelde diagrammen, stroomschema's, organigrammen, plattegronden en meer. Visio biedt een reeks vooraf ontworpen sjablonen die kunnen worden gewijzigd en aangepast aan zakelijke behoeften. Visio kan worden gebruikt voor gegevensvisualisatie, brainstormen, het maken van UML-diagrammen, het maken van organigrammen, het in kaart brengen van processen, netwerktoewijzing en meer.
Met het Visio-platform kunnen gebruikers samenwerken aan diagrammen en werkstromen om inzichten te verzamelen van alle teamleden en belanghebbenden. Wijzigingen kunnen door individuen worden aangebracht en in realtime worden gesynchroniseerd, opmerkingen in de app kunnen worden ingeschakeld om feedback te geven en diagrammen kunnen in de cloud tussen teams worden gedeeld via koppelingen of downloads. Om visualisaties te maken kunnen stroomschema's en diagrammen worden gekoppeld aan realtime gegevensbronnen, en diagrammen kunnen met Visio Visual worden ingesloten in Power BI-dashboards.
Om te helpen bij brainstormen en projectplanning biedt Visio kant-en-klare sjablonen, gebaseerd op brainstormtechnieken zoals visgraatdiagrammen en SWOT-analyses (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats).

Overall I found Microsoft Visio a very helpful tool for any management level (IT to Decision Makers) in an organization and it can be worked with according to their own requirement. I was able to achieve our organizational documentation through various tools and stencils and to elaborate them professionaly. Great tool.
Pluspunten
I have found Microsoft Visio to be a great tool for any business to manage their flow diagrams, organizational structure, network diagrams, and document management. It is a vast utility to support various stencils as per the requirement of the organization or structure required. I found Azure Stencils to be great and detailed in order to elaborate on the cloud environment.
Minpunten
I found it a bit inconvenient that the built-in stencils for Microsoft Visio are limited and it requires extra time and effort to search them manually and apply them in the business model. Visio should be offering their own store to get Stencils and document management utilities.

Other software were tested on a trial basis and I found Vision to accommodate all the features and ease of use.

Visio use to be our main software to plan any project and describe work loads, processes, etc. Nowadays, there are several other platforms with full online capabilities and better team collaboration tools.
Yes, most of those other alternatives are not that good as Visio to create flow charts or any other diagram, but they are more than acceptable for several business lines.
Pluspunten
Thea diagram creation tool is best in class.
Full compatibility with Microsoft Office Suite formats.
Minpunten
There is not fully free & functional online app for third party participants to join eventually into a brainstorming process or any other board of work.
Redenen om over te stappen op Visio
Nowadays, we use Whimsical over Visio for most of our tasks, since Whimsical does allow us to have a better team work. I do still recommend Microsoft Visio for creating precise diagrams over any other alternative, but it is not that useful for Marketing environments, it is for Engineer ones though.- Sector: Burgerlijke en maatschappelijke organisatie

Do NOT buy Visio products! If you thinking of buying a tv/sound bar or other electronic, I advise you to steer clear from Visio!!! We purchased a TV back in April, we moved into the tiny house about three weeks ago. We set up the original TV, it worked for 2-3 days, when we tried to set up the WI-FI it said it needed to restart after we typed all the information into the TV. When the TV came back on it was just a black screen. We contacted the company and they said they would send us a replacement because there was no technician in our area. We were charged for another TV in the meantime of them sending us out the replacement which is understandable. We received the replacement tv in the mail the other day. We spend over an hour attaching it to the wall and everything. We packaged up the original tv and had everything ready to be sent back out to them and get the deposit back from the replacement. We installed the replacement tv and again tried to connect it to the WiFi and we are having the same issue as the original TV. We spent over an hour fighting with Visio directly this morning (on our Anniversary- yes) they proceeded to tell us that the only option was to send out a technician and see what they said. When we told them that we were told there was no technician in our area they placed us on countless holds of (3-4 minutes) they said they “created a ticket” for someone to come out and take a look, they would contact us within 3-4 business days and we can arrange a time t
