Initially, they refused to give a refund after my auto-renewal had gone through. However, I wrote another polite email pointing out that the option to turn this off was not easy to find. They gave me 50% of my new one year subscription back. Not great, but better than nothing and lesson learned about auto-renewals. Interestingly, there is a Government review going on in the UK about subscription auto-renewals and it will (hopefully\!) result in companies having to give you notice before a subscription auto-renews > > The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away.
