Countfire is een echte geautomatiseerde startoplossing voor elektrische schatters waarmee gebruikers automatisch symbolen in meerdere pdf-tekeningen kunnen tellen. Het automatische matching-algoritme werkt voor alle tekeningen en aantallen, en wordt automatisch opgedeeld in gebieden. Functies zijn onder andere lineaire en oppervlaktemetingen, het automatisch maken van Excel-spreadsheets en nauwkeurigheidsrapporten.
Gebruikers kunnen pdf-tekeningen rechtstreeks naar het gebied voor het uploaden van bestanden slepen en neerzetten om een project aan te maken. Projecten kunnen worden onderverdeeld in disciplines om alle tekeningen met vergelijkbare symbolen te groeperen, bijvoorbeeld alle verlichtingstekeningen in de discipline "Verlichting", en alle vermogenstekeningen in de discipline "Vermogen". Gebruikers kunnen tekeningen roteren en tekeningtitels toevoegen om ze naar het Excel-werkblad over te plaatsen. De zoekmachine helpt bij het vinden van symboolbeschrijvingen en de bewerkingstool maakt het mogelijk om onnodige elementen met één klik te verwijderen.
Nadat een symbool op het scherm is geselecteerd, vindt het telalgoritme van de software automatisch alle vergelijkbare symbolen op de huidige tekening, en worden alle vergelijkbare symbolen geteld voor alle andere tekeningen die in dezelfde discipline zijn geüpload. Naast automatisch tellen biedt Countfire ook een reeks tools voor het handmatig tellen van symbolen. Met behulp van afbakeningen stelt Countfire gebruikers in staat aantallen op te splitsen, meestal volgens een prijsschema, die zijn opgenomen in hun eigen kolom in het uiteindelijke Excel-spreadsheet.
Met Countfire kunnen gebruikers ook dekkingsgebieden berekenen om te zien of bepaalde apparaattypen, zoals PIR's of rookmelders aanwezig zijn, en om te controleren of een systeem voldoet aan bepaalde operationele of wettelijke vereisten.

Excellent, the online support is fantastic, as is the software. There have been some containment drawings that I simply could not have lifted off with Pen and paper, but Countfire has made it possible and easy to review.
If in doubt do the trial on a big job and see how you get on!
Pluspunten
Whats not to like? Not much. Its a fantastic tool for estimators, the more you use it the faster you get and the more confidence you gain.
Automatic counts - Brilliant
Manual Counts - When you cant use automatic counts this is still super fast compared to pen and paper
Measurements - Brilliant
Splits and multiples - essential and very helpfull
I have been using it for a year now and would recommend it to anyone involved in estimating or any other form of take offs.
Minpunten
Every now and again you get a bad drawing where all the symbols are slightly different and its a pain. Just use manual count and safe yourself a lot of frustration!
The cost is pretty high (but worth it in time saved) If I was self employed it could be out of price range.

One year review of the Countfire software

Pluspunten
The takeoff software allows the user to quickly takeoff any project. The symbol counting tool is impressive and in the future when the project is in a later build most estimators will use this software.
Minpunten
The technology, while impressive hasn't reached perfection yet. I believe in years to come this will no longer be a problem. An example of this is the symbol counting software which doesn't accurately take off every symbol. To counteract this Countfire allows you to take as many snippets of the symbol as you want. Hopefully in the near future this will no longer be an issue.

Absolutely – it's great you have been able to complete your takeoffs quicker.
We acknowledge there's always room for improvement – our product team work in two week cycles to release hundreds of platform enhancements a year.
Countfire finds matches based on your selections. Occasionally, depending how the drawing has been created, symbols can be drawn differently so they don't automatically match with your first selection. To count these different symbols, just make additional selections under the same symbol heading.

I like that it saves me time on larger projects that have a lot to quantify, as well as making measurements easier and quicker.

I have had the odd drawing where it doesn't pick up the symbols very well.

There are a few things that can cause your symbols to not be picked up well including the format of the drawings and the way the drawings have been created.
