Vagaro is een webgebaseerde oplossing voor eigenaren van salons en fitnesscentra om hun diensten te promoten en contact te onderhouden met klanten via de website van het bedrijf en de mobiele app van Vagaro. Het is een B2C-platform waarop salons, wellnesscentra en studio's zich kunnen registreren en een profiel kunnen aanmaken, hun merk kunnen adverteren, nieuwe evenementen kunnen promoten en afspraken/lessen kunnen boeken voor klanten.
Met Vagaro kunnen bedrijfseigenaren een aangepaste website creëren met volledige informatie over hun locatie, beschrijvingen van medewerkers, de diensten die zij aanbieden en hun werktijden. Salons kunnen weergeven welke tijdsvakken beschikbaar zijn om te boeken voor de dag, week of maand en klanten kunnen een afspraak maken op een tijdstip dat hen het beste schikt. Met Vagaro kunnen gebruikers sms- en e-mailmeldingen naar klanten sturen, de afspraak bevestigen en vervolgens waarschuwingen en herinneringen voor geboekte afspraken verzenden.
Gebruikers kunnen een klantendatabase opbouwen door contactpersonen uit een Excel- of CSV-bestand te importeren of contactpersonen rechtstreeks van hun mobiele telefoon op te halen. Klanten kunnen feedback op de Vagaro-pagina van een salon plaatsen. Salon-eigenaren kunnen ook interne activiteiten beheren, zoals het genereren van verkoop- en servicerapporten, het bewaken van de voortgang van het bedrijf met realtime analyse, in- en uitklokken, aanwezigheid van personeel en het overdragen van gegevens naar de salarisadministratie.
De Vagaro-oplossing biedt een geïntegreerde POS-functie (POS) om cadeaubonnen, producten of pakketten online en via mobiel aan klanten te verkopen. Momenteel biedt Vagaro zijn diensten aan in Australië, Canada, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en de VS.

Good value for the price

Pluspunten
I set this software up for a massage therapist shop. It was for an individual who needed to contract out 2 services, yoga and massage therapy. In order to do that, we had to buy 2 subscriptions what was sort of a pain. However, the ease of use of software was great. There's integration into yelp and facebook. It integrates right into your google calendar which is super important for people that are really busy. Also its way cheaper than mind body so that's a bonus.
They provide everything you need in order to setup a successful massage shop or whatever in fitness you are doing. They even take credit card for services. If you swipe it on your phone in the mobile app, it will ask you for a tip. On ipad, it doesn't.
Also vagaro allows you to rebook an appointment on the spot which I found very convenient for rebookings.

It was really hard to setup multiple services within the shop. I had to setup yoga and massage under 2 different employees but the same name, with 2 different google calendars. It was really messy. It works best when you have employees and can set them up under services they provide, if your solo and provide more than 1 service that aren't related, its hard.

My overall experience with Vagaro has been extremely positive. It has significantly streamlined my business operations and enhanced the overall efficiency of my salon. The scheduling features have made it a breeze to manage appointments, and the automated reminders have helped reduce no-shows. The point-of-sale system is robust and integrates seamlessly with my payment processors, making transactions smooth and secure. Furthermore, the marketing tools have allowed me to reach a wider audience and promote my services effectively. Vagaro has truly become an indispensable tool for my business.

Many pros, but and equal amount of cons

I have used Vagaro for about three years. Initially the bells and whistles are enticing. You begin...
I have used Vagaro for about three years. Initially the bells and whistles are enticing. You begin with the $25 fee, but the functionalities you need to get the most of the site come at additional fees. If you do not add these "monthly" fees the site is very bland.
If you want to use the features such as: credit card capture, requiring a credit card to be enter by clients to book and other options such as these, you must add their chosen processing company along with authorize.net; of course with other added monthly fees.
The customer service agent are limit in their knowledge and frequently tell you they will add your issue "in the que" for the technical department. They have a forum where you can discuss and suggest issues and request features, but it seems to be just for show for the past few years.
When you use their credit card processing you are automatically batched out at "4PM". Whatever income you make after 4pm will be added to the next day. Any income made after 4pm Thursday will not be added to your bank account until "MONDAY MORNING". Meaning anything after 4pm Thursday, all of Friday's income and Saturday's income will not be added to your account (including tips) will not be added until MONDAY.
The credit card processing company is very hard to contact.
The mobile credit card device has not been updated to read card chips , but we have been told for almost a year it will be available "in about a month".
The system is very slow. Make sure you have a mobile device AND your computer just is case it is on the fritz.
They did what they initially called emergency maintenance on the Friday before the 4th of July without any notice. We could not use the site at all. No new appointments, could not check anyone out and if you did not have a hard copy our product prices you could not sell ANYTHING for about 4 HOURS in the middle of the day. They system was visibly on the verge of malfunctioning for days, but they did not send out any emails preparing us for the system being shut down, but they did send one early that day to alert us about a new feature .....
To sum it up, while there are many features they come at a price, with mediocre customer service, many restrictions on receiving your funds and you advertise their service every single time you send out a email, text or any other notice, but you are added to their very saturated search engine and your clients can be enticed by other salons in your area.

Pluspunten
I like just about everything about this software. I have used alot of them and this one is far the best in terms of setting up- very easy to do doesn't require alot of time on your part. It has a lot of features included with set price but if you want to upgrade then you do based on your usage. Now i use the POS system because of the creditcard feature. It costs additional $10 a month for the online part of it but it was worth it to me. and depending on how much your sales are it could cost additional $10 a month too.

The only con i see so far is we have a cancellation fee of 1/2 of service and we are trying to figure out if we wanted to charge say like $50 instead of the full 1/2 - just wondering if we can override that . It is all so new to us. One more thing - it would be nice to if we could decide on the certain clients who abuse the cancellation thing to put something on their chart - what i have done is for online booking require acceptance so we can do that.

Pluspunten
I like the convince and ease of having this on my phone and my computer. I always have my work schedule with me and can easily access all my client notes and past appts on the go. Its aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. I can easily make adjustments in real time that are reflected immediately.
Minpunten
I think there needs to be a better way to create changes in an employees schedule. Something that would allow you to switch up their availability moving forward without it changing past dates. For example: If Molly is working Mondays thru Fridays during the school year but only Tuesdays and Thursdays in the summer I would like to be able to do that instead of having to create custom schedules for each day.
