teamviewer is een simpel programma waarmee onze ICT'er een computer op afstand kan overnemen om zo problemen van afstand op te lossen. het programma is makkelijk te installeren en via een code kan je iemand van buitenaf toestemming geven om de pc/laptop over te nemen
Minpunten
teamviewer heeft voor mij weinig tot geen nadelen. uiteraard moet je altijd zelf opletten dat je de juiste persoon toestemming geeft om je pc over te nemen.

je kan eenvoudig een remote pc overnemen

Het is bijna onmogelijk om je abonnement op te zeggen als je wil stoppen, je moet minstens 28 dagen voor het einde van de lopende termijn via een support ticket je abonnement opzeggen, maar je krijgt hier geen melding van dat je abo bijna verlopen is dus wanneer je bericht krijgt dat het verlengd wordt is het al te laat en als je dan wil opzeggen voor de volgende termijn wordt dat "vergeten" waardoor het volgende jaar opnieuw de betaling van je rekening gaat.

I like the ability to be able to easily give access to other parties. When I’m having issues with my computer, and IT needs to interfere it’s so easy.
Minpunten
This app is very slow and sometimes doesn’t load. On top of that sometimes it freezes when you try to exit it out of control mode.

Coming from using SCCM and the built-in Microsoft remote tools, Teamviewer has improved our workflow considerably, allowing our technicians to complete work on external devices as seemlessly as if they were at the physical controls.
Pluspunten
Teamviewer has enabled us to safely remotely access our fleet of machines and allow elevated actions only by our technicians. This has been a real help during the switchover to working from home.
Minpunten
The initial setup in the admin center can be a little confusing, but works well once completed.

being able to offer remote support for remote clients. However at this point in time, I am amazed that no direct links to offer the client that you want to help instead of making them download the software have been implemented. I'm guessing the initial idea behind TeamViewer was just remote accessibility, but for those who are not tech-literate, it defeats the purpose.

great help for long distance monitoring

It is easy to access my computer at the university from home with just one code. It helps me to avoid going back to university in weekends.

It uses a lot of data and slows down the connection. Once I tried to move some files using TeamViewer and it took a very long time. Also, if for some reason the connection is interrupted, I need to go back and get the code again,

My experience with TeamViewer has been all positive. From what I recall it has never failed me - even in situations where other remote software hasn't worked well.
Pluspunten
Works reliably. I use this software regularly. When working with other companies, they have required that I use other software - I've found none of the alternatives work as reliably as TeamViewer. When it comes to remote access software, my first choice will always be TeamViewer.

It would be even better if the yearly subscription price was a little lower.

Ease of use and setup time. I like the option to have unattended access setup on frequent remote servers that i need to access from my Laptop. Since i tend to move around to different locations for work. Remote access is critical for me

I wouldnt really say its a deal breaker, but at first, the installation was a bit lack luster in what options to pick (unattended/restricted access). I had to reinstall the product a few times to get the correct version i wanted but apart from that, its all good. I have come across the black screen bug but i believe that may be a Server issue. But if its a known server issue, i think Teamviewer should add this on their FAQ.

Overall the system is OK. setting up remote access is clunky and overly complicated. The billing system sucks and has limited adjustment ability. The support takes probably a week to get back to you and the call center is always bogged down. It is overpriced for our needs.
I have tried reaching out to your support. The support has not been helpful nor interested in working to solution. Overall, the support has lagged (sometimes over a week for a response to a simple question). I have an open ticket though today was told that they don't have my payment which posted 3 weeks ago and require a bank statement to rectify. I sent screenshots of my bank statements as the PDF won't be published for 2 weeks due to the timing of the statements and the finance person said well we can't stop it from going to collections as I asked as they were not accepting the screenshots to wait for the PDF. Overall, the "rules" of teamviewer are archaic and you should just search "TeamViewer class action" if you want more information about the issues that people get with them. I am amazed that there is an expectation that a company could hamstring their customer service soo much. It really is sad that a company with a good product has to be soo bad administratively. I am really disappointed. I have been a customer for 4 years. I am "stuck" in a EULA that is not binding in our state but they are playing mean.

It was good, now is bad. I have constant problems trying to connect to different clients, getting a "Connection error" without any explanation. Wasn't bad a couple of years ago, in fact, it was the king of the hill.
Pluspunten
When I started using TeamViewer 2 (yes, that's a 2), years ago, the program was the best of the best, and they kept growing. For me, speed was the most important thing because many of my clients were using slow connections. Also, the ability to start connections with only one ID and behind firewalls was excellent. Transfer files were good too, but basic.
Minpunten
I used it for personal use until TeamViewer 12 when I decided to go pro and buy 3 channels. A very expensive software, that I thought I would keep using until I died. Then I learned that Teamviewer 8 was deprecated, then TeamViewer 10, etc.
And the worst part is that they're going to phase out TeamViewer 12 also. I bought a program and I'm forced to change to a subscription? Thank you, but no, thank you. I prefer other solutions. They also try to force you by not allowing cross TeamViewer 12 <---> TeamViewer 15. So, if I have a client that has TeamViewer 15, I can't give him support! Outrageous.

Even though their team was very professional in solving some of our technical issues, they replied either very late or completely didn't get back on certain occasions.
We had some sessions hung up despite the network being stable on both ends. But I believe these were isolated cases or glitches.

I love that logging onto a user's computer is quick and painless. I love that you can easily assist a user while explaining what you are doing.
Minpunten
I don't like when there are updates and you try to log in and you receive a message that says the user has a more recent version than you, and it won't allow you to log in.

I I really can't say there's anything that I disliked about TeamViewer remote everything from the two-way Conferenceing to the remote Conferenceing as well as cell phone controls which were great it worked exactly like I thought it would work start to finish.

Overall i have used this program for years and will do so until something changes. Over the years they have tried more and more to get money out of you trying to sell you on other features. I still only use the free version of it and i'm happy with that.
Pluspunten
I like that it is easy to direct someone to the website and they can download it with little problem. It is a simple install and from there its quick to fix the problem.
Minpunten
I don't like that the install has this step asking if they want commercial or personal or neither. Just remove that and eliminate the confusion.
