Pluspunten

We like using Web.com for medium sized client's who have a limited budget or time to develop a website. The system is easy to get used to and navigate. The makers provide good documentation and support.

Minpunten

Web.com is not as robust and flexible as Wix and in some ways the Godaddy site builder was easier to use. However, web.com is professional and a bit more compatible with client's who want a little more elegance and professionalism.

Very exhaustive order process software

Pluspunten

Thanks to Ecomdash, you access many features that make the order management better: the ftp synchronization will allow you to know the inventory of brands/distributors, same thing with EDI. This way, your system will be up to date at each time. Also, you can send orders to the supplier automatically with the cvs file feature: that's a super smart way to automatize and order process.

Minpunten

It can seem a bit too complex as there are so many features and you may not use them all - the UI is not so good (many windows) but you have to get used to it. Also it takes some time to set up with the IT Team, as you have to establish ftp feeds with brands and suppliers. Sure it's more powerful than softwares like Ordore but it requires more efforts to set it up.

Stay Away - Ecomdash is no longer supported

It was fine for a couple of years, but they seem to have stopped maintaining and supporting the platform. Now we have to switch to a different inventory system.

Pluspunten

We chose this software because it could sync inventory to many sales channels at a reasonable cost. However, it no longer syncs with our Woocommerce sites and Ecomdash has gradually stopped supporting the platform.

Minpunten

Ecomdash is no longer actively supported. As far as I can tell, it was acquired and they are keeping it alive to milk subscription fees from existing customers. However, they no longer appear to be answering the phones or updating the system.

Ecomdash is the best, cost effective inventory manager on the market

Pluspunten

Inventory management is the best aspect of this product. Not only are we able to send accurate inventory across several different marketplaces, but we can also set rules for each marketplace too. We can set products to have a max available quantity, send out a quantity reserve, and even submit products through the program itself without having to bounce between various marketplaces.

Minpunten

Sometimes the software isn't quick enough to send out an inventory update when we run out of stock. This only happened when we were selling a crazy amount of inventory per day, but it still needs to be kept in mind when considering this product.

The experience of working with this software and company was very good. We simply could not cost justify the expense and ROI.

Pluspunten

Ecomdash works very well. It has great features and functionality. It connects to most marketplaces and integrates everything seamlessly. Customer Service was strong and they are always on top of things.

Minpunten

We simply found this product to be price restrictive for a company of our size. Doing only about 800 online orders a month, the cost per order was simply to high. We were able to switch to another company and cut our cost per transaction down by over 70%. We lost some functionality but that was minimal.

Awful customer service

Nothing to like. The app is dated and doesn't do everything that they claim.

Minpunten

Their website claims that their software does EVERYTHING but it is just a lie. In fact, the app does not work properly. The GUI is dated. Worst of all the customer service is awful. One of the worst customer service I dealt with in the past 5 years. Please note that once you add your credit card, it is impossible to remove and they will keep taking money from your card withing sending any email or invoice. Do yourself a favour and stay away. There are plenty better options!

Only works one way - you can't update orders on ecomdash and have those changes go back to amazon.. also woocomm doesn't work... it worked on sales pitch - but not now. Chat supports says you have to manually enter woocomm orders no API and even after that - you can NOT update orders and have it sent back to woocomm.. maybe good for inventory, but NOT order handlling...

Still waiting for refund - but they have to TALK to you first -- still waiting for call!!

I tried contacting their customer services representatives twice and they didn't fail to disappoint me both the times.

First they don't have any idea how their system works.

For a simple issue like "unable to login" they gave me 2 days timeframe to resolve the issue.

2nd it is a difficult thing to make them understand the issue.

We didn't have a software program tracking our warehouse inventory before ecomdash, but now we do!

Minpunten

Since we've been using the software, we've had several glitches causing hiccups in our inventory counts. When something ran out of stock, it doesnt show as out of stock so it wouldnt show up on our reorder sheet. Had orders waiting forever due to this problem

One word - Amazing!
Automated inventory synchronize between our eBay`s , Amazon and Bigcommerce stores has never been so accurate and simple!
Amazing customer service, tech support reacts to our requests and needs in no time.
No more over-selling - and the best part is they integrate with sears.com - so we are expending our selling channels thanks to them.
Tough it`s a "young" company - they are super professional.
I Hope to grow our business with them.

The software takes care of everything you need to do to list your product. You can think of doing something and that feature is already there in the software.

Minpunten

Though all the features are there but explanation for each option is not mentioned any where. For new user it is difficult to know where to find what he is looking for. For eg. I was trying to upload an inventory so I created a manual import format and imported the products. Along with the product headers got added in the inventory. After contacting customer support I came to know that while creating manual import you have to tick the option "File has headers". So what I mean is this information was not mentioned while creating the manual import file, if it was there i would have had not made the mistake. Like wise there are many places information is not provided.

TOO MANY CHANGES!

We loved it when it first came out. Now it is becoming a burden with all the big changes and bugs introduced at each change. Also, some of the changes seem to make no sense, such as when you view your products, you select All Products from the dropdown.. But Wait! you are not looking at ALL products. You have to select Show All to see ALL products.

The interface used to be a lot cleaner and intuitive but now is a jumbled up mess. You can't do all things to a product from one place any more. You have to jump around too much.

And no phone support! You would think that a company owned by Constant Contact would at least have SOME phone support. Chat and email takes far too long and too many sessions to fix problems.

If I can find a reasonable alternative, we may have to leave.

When we first started with Ecomdash almost 10 years ago, they were just getting started. They were eager to hear from users and were very responsive to problems. As time went on, more problems seemed to show up and "features" that made working with it more difficult started showing up. Now, seems like every "update" comes with a major bug that takes multiple chat sessions to resolve. Also, it seems that no one working there has ever actually started and run a small business based on some of the decisions they made. For example, they can't see the need for a "Paid" invoice to send our commercial customers!

I've been using Ecomdash since they were just getting up and running. They have done so many upgrades and made the software better and better. Their customer service has been great and very responsive. The price of the software is easily justifiable since they monitor all of my inventory, manage my orders and let me list to multiple online selling venues all in one system. As they have grown, their up-time has been incredible.

Pluspunten

Cross list inventory on multiple selling platforms. Love the fact that when an order comes in from a selling venue, Ecomdash stops all of the listings on other platforms without me having to watch it.
Ability to print shipping labels for orders.
Ability to manage my inventory locations.
Ability to upload my listing info via a CSV file.

Minpunten

I don't have any cons, more like a wish list. I would like it if they would list / monitor Poshmark. I would like to be able to customize the reports.

We used to spend hours looking for things because we just had too many items to try to keep track of without some sort of structure. We tried to do something on our own, but we had a huge problem with consistency. Ecomdash took all of the mystification out of inventory management. It's very straight forward and easy to understand.

Pluspunten

I was really looking for inventory management software as I was having trouble keeping track of eBay inventory in three different warehouses. This software really fixed that problem for us. I'm also considering branching out to other channels soon and I'm convinced this is program will work well for that too.

Minpunten

The integration was difficult, but that was my fault. We had been using eBay's Custom Label field for item location. I realize now that I should have downloaded that data and cleared the field before I started. If I would have contacted Customer Service early on, I'm sure it would have been seamless transition. I don't expect to get good "Help Desk" service, but Ecomdash's customer service has been the best. Friendly, easy to understand, and technically adept.

Look, if you understand what marketplaces need to have listings post and all you need is basic inventory control, this is a 5 star product. I hover between 3 and 4 stars because there are glitches involved in the listing creation process and when you ask support for something, they take forever and repeatedly ask questions you have already answered.

Inventory control and ease of use in that respect - A+ valude for your money
Listing creation- eBay- B-, Shopify- A, Walmart- C+, Amazon (us, uk, ca)- D (not an F because if an ASIN exists, it will post your listing but if you are creating a new ASIN, you can not use ecomdash)

While support is courteous, the response for legitimate questions takes a long time and often yields inaccurate results. In English, you ask a question and wait up to 2 weeks for an answer which may or may not help. To use ecomdash, you need to have a bit of a puzzle solving brain or a level of patience that surpasses Gandhi.

Having said all of this, while I am critical of many things, I can honestly say I do not regret switching to them. I have paid a lot more for far less functionality from other services such as Solid Commerce and Zentail. You get what you pay for here, so if you have a solid understanding of how your sales channels work, you can save good money with this service. If you are new, you won't like it.

Despite the fact I rate customer support as poor, I am happy with my decision to use ecomdash. I save thousands of dollars a year and have learned many things (by being forced to haha) and in the long run this is the best solution for my needs.

Support is deplorable when you have an issue - Issues can take weeks to be answered and sometimes are still not answered properly - Not yet capable of posting new products to Amazon (You have to upload yourself and then download inventory into ecomdash) - Tedious creation of product groups (size/ color variations) which only post on eBay and Shopify (and supposedly Walmart but so far not successful with that despite asking for support over a week ago)

Pluspunten

Price point compared to competitors. Ability to tie into other marketplaces. APIs that support automation. We can leverage our USPS account with Commercial Plus pricing through Endicia. The platform has the ability to manage multiple marketplaces in a relatively intuitive fashion. In theory, it will support the Mandrill plug in for delayed emails to customers. We have not gotten this functional yet. The support staff is generally speaking very helpful (although solutions take days/weeks sometimes). We had some issues with one of the APIs and they managed to implement a work around to accommodate our Woo Commerce website. This was a big deal and really allowed us to continue to use the Ecomdash platform. The methodology of Paid Orders- Ready to Ship versus Unshipped Orders empowers us to use automation for pulling inventory out of our POS. This is one of the most important features for our particular configuration and needs.

Minpunten

GUI does not give very much control over the sorting of orders. Therefore it is not as efficient as it could be. There are performance lags where the user is waiting for the GUI to catch up after a click (this has been recently improved to some degree). Printing labels does not support direct to the label printer. Therefore it pops up in a pdf and then you print from there. This slows down the process and is inefficient. The customization of packing lists is very limited. In particular, the logo size limit and text count limitations need improvement. Also the packing slip does not support shipping charges or ancillary charges/credits. A discrepancy on a packing slip/invoice can lead to customer complaints. We have had intermittent issues with time outs through the APIs. we have added code as a work around but still have issues on occasion.

The filters need reset each time the screen is refreshed within the creating of the Purchase Order system.
IE: Monthly sales filters.

Great product to sync your sites inventory across each other

They do a very good job of showing what is selling, so easier to keep items in stock
From our experience through the years, their customer support has always been very helpful.

Can be slow at times, but for the most part is quite fast. At the moment, don't have anything else can think of. Most of the issues we have had, they are able to resolve or have a work around to make it work.

As a solo operation, (listing, packing, shipping, walkin customers in my bricks and mortar showroom), my time on ecomdash is limited. The program deserves a lot of time & attention to make it really fly. So I hope to put a full time employee to just keyboard into ecomdash.

In depth & web based tool. It does all that you need once an item is set up correctly. We use several sales channels. Going on 4 or 5 years now with ecomdash. Subscription costs are reasonable. I actually look forward using it every day.

Minpunten

Lots of bells and whistles, therefore a steep learning curve for me. However, support always gets me fixed when I screw something up.

After months of researching and interviewing companies for the best software solution, we chose ecomdash. That was over a year ago now, and we've never second guessed our decision. It provides all the functionality we need to keep our business operations organized and centralized.

Pluspunten

What I like most about ecomdash is it is one central stop for all the functions our warehouse does. From inventory management to listings to shipping - ecomdash does it all.

Minpunten

Customization. I wish there were a few more options to customize the look and functionality. For example, custom reports, custom dashboard, custom pick-list and packing slips. Every business has it's own idiosyncrasies that it would be great to have a software that could meld even better to my unique business model.

You get all the features from day 1 and you don't have to spend all your profits to get a good system. The company is innovative and always adding new features and improving ease of use. Well.......was thinking to use them based on previous reviews that I was reading and the value for the money. As a new and small company thought what could go wrong. As a none technical person I oped for their $99 set up.. they promised 15-30 phone call for set up, that my account will be integrated, sync and that I'll be ready to go and simply start doing business. But It wasn't like that at all. Phone cal came in simply to ask for more info and was around 5 minutes. After that I wanted to upload my whole inventory and integrated but because my Amazon.com already downloaded a few listings, the support person (which I think knows what she's doing) wanted to link these to all my channels. I tried to explain via so many emails back and forth that this is not what I'm looking for and really need my inventory uploaded she kept going back to the Amazon.com listings and try to connect these one. So I after 1 weeks talking to the walls I agree to continue with these few listings, but found out that because these listings are FBA listing, you can't integrate them to other channels. Or maybe they can but she didn't know how and couldn't help me. What it did it converted all the listings to 'none amazon fulfilled listings'. So I had to go and manually changed everything back to Amazon fulfilled. So if you sell FBA.......stay away and you will not get adequate support from them, only 5 miles long emails with instructions.

Pluspunten

We very much liked the customer service. However, the recent change to "leave a message and someone will get back to you" isn't met with much enthusiasm. Indeed someone does get back, and sometimes within minutes.

Minpunten

There are certain instances where a simple switch would be all the difference, but it isn't there. The software could use the ability for the user to change things for themselves.

Pluspunten

Works with all the major marketplaces. Works with Quickbooks online. Perfect for a small operation to help with listing to multiple marketplaces and some major shopping carts, helps with order processing and shipping. Not too hard to put together.

Minpunten

It is very much do it yourself for the set up process. For a small number of SKU's this is a perfect fit. For larger numbers of sku's not so much. Also there is no easy way to add a back up supplier to your inventory items.

Balancing inventory when selling on multiple channels is all but impossible to do manually with any type of volume at all. We sell quite a few low volume or single quantity items and we have to keep the inventory in sync across all channels to prevent overselling.

Pluspunten

The sync inventory frequency. Some competitors only sync once an hour, if you are selling multi-channel this can lead to overselling.
