From the user perspective, WordPress is quite easy to use, and the learning curve is quite plain.

Use WooCommerce and a very simple functionality is at a hundred bucks at least. You'd be better off learning how to code PHP.- Lacks User Experience sentiments. WordPress has several drawbacks:

I don't like the standard design that is on WordPress. It has a lot of white space everywhere, so customization is key.

One of the things that I liked most about WordPress is its user-friendly content management system (CMS). One of the things that I liked least about WordPress is the limited customization options for certain themes, especially for the free ones. I consider myself to be a tech savvy guy, but when it came to web design my creativity seemed to falter. WordPress provided me all the solutions I needed to build a website I felt would attract customers and allow my team and I to build a website that represents us, and how we see our company. It was ease of use like I hadn't experienced trying to code other websites, and to be perfectly honest I was disappointed when our website project had ended simply because I was enjoying interacting with the software so much.

I can honestly say from my experience working with WordPress and past experience with other software that there really weren't any cons. The tools allow for "drag and drop" functionality which was huge for me as much of what I added were video or pictures of our products. Additionally, the suggestions provided by the software were great to have, and even better was the fact there are so many communities out there with people who use WordPress regularly and who are able to offer some great ideas on site improvements.

Wordpress offers the most options and built in plugins if you are willing to pay. With how broad the use of wordpress is there are also plenty of resources online to help you build and expand your webpage. You can edit your site and get it up and running in a matter of hours.

When you are starting out on wordpress there are features and plugins are are only available at higher priced points. Unfortunately you have to pay for the entire year so there is not much flexibility in terms of trying things out for a short period of time before committing.

I have been using WordPress for several years now and the features keep getting better. While initially starting as a clunky content management system, it has become very visual and easy to use after Gutenberg. I have used it multiple ways both as a single user or in a team that has different admins, editors, & publishers and WordPress was versatile enough to handle it all. Add to this the thousands of plugins and themes and you can't really go wrong with this tool.

WordPress, being a large ecosystem suffers from the usual rogue plugin or theme which can come from a shady publisher. So always be aware that WordPress, while trying it's best cannot avoid a rare bad publisher from slipping between the cracks.

It is the best and biggest platform for creating content I have ever known. Wordpress allows you to have very high quality websites, for a super symbolic price. The platform offers several types of Plugins to improve your business, in addition to offering super complete layouts and easy to change, either in the free option or in paid options. Virtually everything within wordpress is customizable to meet the user's needs and certainly even for those who do not have much knowledge on WEB platforms, it is a product that helps a lot and has a super interesting learning curve. It's super intuitive and anyone can set up their business, even without the help of a professional or developer. In addition, it is a platform widely used worldwide, which allows much material on wordpress to be developed on the internet. It's the best!

There's nothing I don't like about Wordpress, it's the platform I use in my digital business and I don't change it for another.

When you type in Wordpress in google, youtube or bing in matter of seconds you get basic, advanced or ninja level tutorials how to make a webpage.
When you learn basics (2-3 weeks) you can make decent webpages for allmost anybody.
Superb plugin/theme and forum support make this product superior to any other product.
I never encounter problem which i could not figure out with fer minutes or hours of googleing.

Usage depends on speed of hosting servers. I had different versions and different solutions implemented.
I found out that 90% of problems are hosting related, other 10% is related for not buying some premium features.

I was a struggling college student when I first installed Wordpress on my cheap hosting. Back then I picked Wordpress because it was easy to install and open-source. I had a few technical skills and no money so that was the best CMS for my new website.

Here's who I recommend WordPress for:
- If your website is going to be content-heavy (i.e. you publish a lot of blog posts) - WordPress makes the job very easy. Formatting is easy, writing is easy, uploading media is easy...
- People who have none or little technical skills - you're not a programmer but would like to have a professional looking website. There are lots of features and plugins on WordPress that allows you to drag and drop elements on your site so you don't have to touch a line of code if you don't want to!
- People looking to MVP SaaS projects - this is relatively new for me but I've noticed tons of people making money by building simple SaaS on top of WordPress. It's gonna save you a ton of time and money building your MVP on WordPress compared to other platforms.

I've always loved WordPress but the one thing I'm having mixed feelings about is Gutenberg. It has been working quite well for me for the last couple of months and I've been loving the ease of using it, but since the latest update, the entire thing lags when I write.

This really sucks for me and I think I have to switch back to the 'Classic Editor'.

Could be a theme issue, but I've converted almost all my new posts to Gutenberg format now I don't know if I remove Gutenberg what would happen to the formatting on my posts.

This software is clean and mostly user friendly and the widget integration resources available make this software quite powerful. You don't have to know much (or anything) about the world of coding in order to set up and maintain a simple website using Wordpress. This makes web design customizations much easier to manipulate for those with no ability to write code. There are tons of built in templates to choose from and lots of integrations you can pull into Wordpress to create what you are looking for.

Because there is so much in the widget and integrations space that works with Wordpress, this can get buggy. For example, we had an integration that was supposed to help monitor our site in case of an issue, and this feature instead caused our site to crash. Additionally, we use a template on top of Wordpress, so we have to be very careful not to edit from the main dashboard but only edit through that built on layer... otherwise, we risk loosing changes and making a mess of things. To use more than the basic platform, some knowledge is required. The options are endless, which means things can get complex quickly. Keeping it simple is best for those without much background in this space. Backing up your latest version of your website is always reassuring.

WordPress allows making blogs, websites, pages, e-commerce sites and even a social network. It’s so powerful. Third advantage is its standard for CMS. There are a lot of free resources online where you can learn how to make a WordPress website or blog. A huge WordPress developers community and resources are available to provide support for free, so what do you want if you can get things done for free which is a huge huge advantage.

As WordPress is free so it doesn't mean to create a website using WordPress will work forever without updating. To make it work properly it may need monthly or quarterly updates to pages, theme and plugins because these things receive updates from companies which developed these awesome themes and plugins. If you don't update them time to time your website can become slower, and sometimes a plugin change in the update may break website with is very awful sometimes. So make sure to update theme and plugin on time. Another disadvantage is of WordPress is, as it is free so there is a lot of demand for WordPress and sometime you need to build a website which is right for now but after a couple of months or a year when your business expands and you want to make changes to the website, so you may need an expert to do it for you; which is very hard to find the real expert. Because everyone knows how to make a website with WordPress and customize it but very less of them are truly WordPress experts and can do what exactly do you want. So before building a website for your business using WordPress first meet an expert, discuss your requirement and ask for help so that he can guide you well to select a great theme and supported plugin for your website, So that if you may want to make changes to your website in future when you scale your business; you can do it easily with a very low cost.

I've been using WordPress for many years, and the thing I like most is that it's constantly evolving, changing, becoming more than it was. Year after year, absolutely without fail, WordPress becomes a more sophisticated, more streamlined, more functional system for managing websites, and I can't recommend it enough.

Like any software system, WordPress has a learning curve that can be a little challenging if you're new to the world of Content Management Systems. You'll hear a lot about all that WP can do, and it's true, but often, that functionality comes via plugins or custom built themes you'll have to add yourself. It's not hard, and if you're an experienced web person, you'll get it easily, but for the newbie it might be a challenge. Don't worry, you can manage it, though.

The best feature of WordPress up to date is it's ability to Update itself without any issues. You don't lose you data, almost all plugins get updates and work with the current release and everything just becomes better and more powerful. Does not matter, if you have WP for Blogging or an E-shop, you will get constant updates and need features without ever bothering.

Even though WP give a lot of customization options, if you are low on budget, you might not have that many options and may struggle to gt the best. It is possible, but it is hard. It's hardly a con, since others will give you even less, but overall it can be improved.

*Capabilities

WordPress is for small websites. And even though, it is true that you can expand it with plugins, that is also true that those plugins will need more attention, and much better hosting. WordPress is all about freedom of choice, you can do everything with the platform to adjust it to the needs, but sometimes you just need a simple and fast solution to create a specific kind of website. In that case, WordPress becomes harder to use and I would advice you to use some help setting everything up.

Wordpress makes creating websites achievable for even the most novice website developers. With literally thousands of pre-made website templates and plugins, everything from form development, image galleries, video players, and more is as easy as installing a plugin or toggling on a preference. If bespoke development is required, hiring someone to assist is just as easy as the platform is incredibly flexible and easy to build on.

As an open source community, Wordpress does not come with standard support that you might expect from a typical, enterprise level software provider. As such, any web development, troubleshooting or difficulties that may arise will need to be handled by a professional. This typically means hiring an hourly consultant/developer to fix any issues that may arise. That said, it will come at a fraction of the cost it would typically cost when building a site from scratch.

Wordpress has a very organized and intuitive dashboard for admins that makes it very easy to edit websites. All the different types of pages you would want to build have their own section and the customization is only limited by your own capabilities. There are tons of web designers that are very familiar with the platform if you need help and it also has plugins for most third party tools you may want to integrate within your site. The simple, built in event and blog tools make those pages basically plug and play where you just need to enter the details into fields and the page is formatted for you based on the design you set up in the beginning.

While updates are great, I think it gets out of hand sometimes. Especially when some updates may require you to make significant changes to the design or style of your site, it sometimes makes more sense not to update. But if you are not up to date, your site can lose functionality and features. This may not be an issue for some people but when you start using a lot of plugins and customization, some items may need certain updates while the same update might interferes with others. Then you have to decide what matters to you more and you usually end up compromising something.

I love the interface and simplicity of working on the back end. It’s intuitive for the most part and without having to look things up, a user can generally figure out the basics. Developing for custom WP sites has been great as there is a huge WP dev community and a lot of help and support to be found around the web (or courses).

It is free to use especially if self hosted and there are a million ways to customize a sote to be more unique from the standard templates (mostly geared towards developers).

The most recent changes including the customizer & Gutenberg (releasing soon) are becoming a huge roadblock for many developers. There are ways around them which include disabling them via code or plugin but the way things are going, it will be harder to ensure these features won’t interfere with custom WP developers.

The customizer is versatile but I find it sometimes interferes with the way a custom coded site works and can cause issues with intended styling and functionality.

Gutenberg is still new so it remains to be seen just how much interference there will be once it’s part of the core framework, especially on sites developed before this release.

I love the flexibility WordPress offers. As a free tool anyone can setup a website. While it's preferable to host your own website, you can setup your website through WordPress for free. I did that a few years ago to get my feet wet and loved WP so much I host my own sites through my own Internet Service Provider.

WordPress does dominate the market, 25% of the world's websites use WordPress. The WP community is fantastic.There are meetups in cities all over the world and annual events all over the US and around the world to bring the best experts on WordPress together with developers, administrators and users.

Like with any good product, there is continual work on WordPress, lots of focus new features, security, updates, there's always new themes free and paid to try out and work with. I also appreciate Automattic, the team behind WordPress. They are deeply focused on providing the world the best Content Management System possible.

A WordPress site can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. Someone new to WordPress can setup a site pretty quickly that's also visually appealing and responsive.

Depending on what you want to do and how involved you want to be with WordPress, it's is a more advanced product to use, which can be considered a con for folks that aren't comfortable with the extra steps necessary to build the site and are not technical. WordPress is a CMS that is supported by pretty much every Internet Service Provider out there, and they offer support for WordPress, so you're not left out in the cold. WordPress sites require regular updates as well as someone that is paying attention to making sure the updates are applied.

That said, my 76 year old dad took to WordPress right away. I setup a website for him and he updates his own content, literally all sorts of text and images. I'm so impressed with what he's run off and done. If he can do it, it goes to show how many people out there can update their own websites with content. Business owners generally don't whether it's WordPress or Squarespace.

Support wise you may have to do some homework if something doesn't work. There's a LOT of quality support for WordPress and WordPress has Happiness Engineers to help answer questions.

I like it because it allows me to build a website for free and yes it's 100% free, unlike other website builders in the market.

It's effortless to use, and the user interface is amicable and easy to use without any web designing or coding background also, It's open-source.

WordPress themes are amazing because they are very flexible and I can add or remove anything with just simple clicks.

I start using WordPress to build my online store a few years ago, and I didn't have any knowledge on how to use it but, with simple research on the internet I found a step by step guide and I build my online store in a few days without any problems, and I was amazed how everything works and how fast the website load.

with time I found WordPress offers a lot of plugins and one of them was Woocommerce and I start using it with WordPress and I was very happy with the final results because I had everything I wanted in my website (online store).

I like how I'm allowed to customize everything and how I have complete control of my website.

also, I like the idea of how I can move my Website to any hosting company or change the domain name without any problem.

I like the integrations available on WordPress especially for the payment options, Email marketing tools, SEO tools...etc.

If you have full control this means you are responsible for the security of your own website, installing updates, saving backups, and this for some people will be very hard to manage.

It takes some time to build your own website because WordPress doesn't come with a drag and drop option like some other website builders.

but, after all, you don't need to put a lot of effort to create and manage your website you just need some time to learn the basics and you are good to go.
