My usage is somewhat limited in my capacity in HR. However, overall ECP has been positive with many options to facilitate ease of sharing/tracking information. I am also pleased with the response time in resolution when issues arise from user error.

Pluspunten

Price (Smile) it is more oriented toward "Client Care" and ease of use compared to some systems that are Accounting, or Billing oriented. We started with MARS which out pharmacy "Populated" most of the program for us, Then it took about a week for caregivers to begin doing "Incident Reports" nest we began the "Observations" which are the care notes and Change of Conditions . ECP just "Sucks you in" and makes it very easy and fun to do documentation. And just as you begin to think I wish they addressed an idea I found it had been addressed and better than I had in mind. These programmers are familiar with caregiving. The support help have been awsome, smart, polite, knowledgeable, do not beat around the bush they know what I am asking and have direct, correct answers

Language and defenitions . What I am calling something is not what ECP calls it, but when I mentioned it they did have good answers and I think they did great at reaching universally acceptible terms, I learned to call "Notes" and COC "Observations".

We had been using ECP for many years and were able to convert easily from paper charting. Over the years there were a couple of glitches but when we called customer service we were given their full attention and assistance. We are now running well and they are available for us when we need them. The customer service team at ECP are willing to research and teach as well as walk us through an issue to get to a resolve.

ECP enables us to recall resident information, gather statistics for our vitals for Dr. visits, schedule tasks for our caregivers, and monitor our medication pass information.

Minpunten

There are not any features we don't like at this time.

ECP's overall function is easy to navigate, even for someone that may not have the best computer skills. Charting, compliance, and internal notes just for staff communication are top-notch.

I feel ECP is missing a calendar tab. A Calendar tab where management could enter appointments and events that would prompt staff.

I would Highly recommend, this website is easy to use and all of you employees will love how easy it is to access resident’s information about how to go about cares, if the resident has specifics on what they like and don’t like. How to properly provide care for the resident.

One of the most important reasons I like this software is the ease of reporting on our residents forthe team to see in real time.

The only thing I dislike about the software is the times of scheduled trainings and not having accessibility to watch the trainings after the class is done. I am an overnight worker and I love to learn, but am not able to participate because it is during sleeping hours for me.

Overall I have had all good experiences with ECP. It has made my world as Administrator much easier. The ECP team when you call the office are nothing but friendly and will work to help you solve your issues. I never feel rushed and to me that is important to learn things slowly

I come from old school where everything was hand written and kept in resident charts. This is so much easier and neater, easy to find history on anything I am looking for without having to dig through years of files. I am able to monitor how the residents are daily, I can monitor medication passes to make sure things are being done.

There is really nothing that I dont like, I just think there is so much I dont understand and could really use some training on things to better utilize all areas. One area I would really like to learn is using ECP for ISP's. Right now i had write all of them

All resident information and medications in on place is very helpful. Being able to access ECP when not in the building (on-call etc.) is extremely beneficial. I like having contact information in there as well.
If there was a way to indicate when a resident is on home health vs hospice that would be helpful

All documentation for all residents easily accessible.

Some features are not as user friendly as I would like. The Behavior Management Plan has to be typed into both locations on the form. The Questions work around is better than initially set up, but if you have to edit an existing question it has to be deleted and reentered as a new item so a little cumbersome there. Also have to type in the questions again so that is 3 times entering the information. Streamlining that would be helpful.

This software is rather intuitive and what one can't figure out, the very fast response time from customer service makes it very easy to use. Turns out very professional documents. It also provides mini workshops only 20-40 minutes in length that aid learning.

Minpunten

The sign in feature is such that it has to be done every time on logs in. Would prefer that it could be laptop specific.

Pluspunten

This product is very user friendly, even if you've never been in the healthcare industry. It is great to be able to see quickly who passed meds when needed. The system does med counts for you and even reorders the scripts and they get delivered straight to you.Their customer service is top notch, they will talk you through anything you need help with.

Minpunten

I didn't get trained enough from my organization so it took some time to work out the kinks. I don't care for the fact that other people have access to the same info, it can be removed easily by someone else.

Simple, easy to use and navigate. Easy to get customization for items needed. Support always available during implementation and set up. LOVE the access to side effects, training and having all that mass of information in one place! Love that you can input one provider and assign them to multiple individuals, makes it sooo much easier!

As an industry as a whole something needs to be done about communication of behaviors and a simple way to train staff/nurse at hosptial's on how to care for an individual who is non-verbal, allowing continuity of care without frustration on nursing staff or the individual.

Integrating this system into our company has made a world of difference. We have reduced our use of paper and our ability to track cares and charting for our clients has become much more efficient.

Minpunten

I have spoken with ECP support regarding this issue, but we are not able to enter in readings for BSL levels when the meter reads "hi" or "lo" (versus a number).

We have not gone live yet, but I have had a little experience with ECP in a prior job. I did not get any training at that time, and this software is friendly enough, that I still was able to jump right in and go. Anytime I had questions, I could call customer service and they were available right away and helped me get to where I needed.

Minpunten

We are still in the integration phase. I wish we could have someone in person helping us through the initiation phase and not remotely. I do not like that the 'classification' for medications is just to help trigger rules. There really should be a true Drug Classification. The Drug Info link also is difficult to find the drug class. This is how the CBRF Med Administration course teaches, based off of drug classes, as well as nursing. Pharmacology is split into drug classes because indications for meds can be variable, the drug class tells you how the drug will affect your body. I really wish this was on there.

ECP-Easy to train...easy to use

Pluspunten

If you can browse the internet or shop online, you can use ECP. It is easy to teach staff how to use, it is user friendly to customize, pharmacy integration saves valuable nursing time, customer service is excellent. We have been very happy with ECP overall.

Minpunten

The program is not always stable while using a Chromebook. The demand causes the computer to freeze and require restarting.

Some Chromebooks may not offer the processing power and memory you need for demanding web applications. They work well for basic web browsing but any robust program may cause issues from running out of memory.

ECP was introduced to our Facility through Home Town Pharmacy. It has made a world of difference to myself and staff. With having the ability to monitor residents and their medications.

No real Issues with ECP its self. I sometimes have to wait awhile for Pharmacy to upload changes to medications. It seems to work out in the long run.

It is extremely beneficial to have so much information all located in a central location. It is a great communication tool as well. We would never want to be without it

In the last several months, ECP has frozen on our computer and we have to log out and re-enter to get back in. We have called, but still no solutions on why this is happening. It is quite frustrating
