We use it as a virtual dataroom. Very easy to setup access, implement MFA, use custom styling and logos.

Although FileCloud is not expensive, guest users can be a hidden cost.

It is important to us to run the file exchange on premises. This product checks all the important checkboxes.

Nothing of significance so far. Frequent updates - I guess this is actually a benefit but it takes administrative resources.

FileCloud Drive for windows has limitations.
Quick Edit function is great but I wish was not limited to one file.

Drag and drop works without a hitch, sharing files is easy, accounts and passwords are a snap.

What I liked least is one of the things I like best. The fact that it's web-based was great for me! Having to explain this to some of our internal users was what I liked least. :D

Layout and ease of use is my favorite aspect of FileCloud.

The change between limited and guest accounts in how they access data. It was a little confusing.

I like the fact that we control the servers and the data.

I find the performance can be improved upon, especially regarding file upload, and regarding performance of large file operations such as copy move, etc.

I used FileCloud at my previous employer so I decided to bring it to MDT. It's changed the way we collaborate with vendors and clients. I wouldn't pick anything else!

I honestly cannot think of anything I do not like about FC.

I like the ease of use and how easy it is to train employees on how to use the system. We had a very clumsy system before hand, and it was difficult for people to use and understand. This is the opposite.

Nothing, seems like things are working as expected and everyone in my organization is happy!

It is very easy to use. It's fantastic that you can use this on all your mobile devices.

The integration was easy, and everything is just very friendly to use. We don't have anything bad to say about this software.

The encrypted sharing features, and the very easy-to-use sync drive.

Maybe create encrypted email along with it, encrypted file sharing is great, but being able to send encrypted emails would be a great addition.

It was pretty easy to get up and running and their support staff is always quick to respond with any questions that I have.

The pricing structure isn't exactly the cheapest.

The DLP method is effective, as well the various options for file and folder sharing.
The GUI is nice and smooth and easy to use and the integrations with other SSO technologies is easy to implement and very stable.

The file indexing is slower than other product on big file servers, and sometimes the indexed search is not working as expected. The file/folder listing is a little bit slow on big folders.

Easy to deploy and offers an option of ITAR-compliance with GovCloud support

Pricing is a little steep and the minimum number of users if using GovCloud,

FileCloud enables our company to implement a DropBox like application to our on-premise data. It has wonderful features like drag and drop directly into the website and has applications to mount or sync your server drives via any mac or pc client. We used to use a different companies' software for this but FileCloud excels in so many different areas. Finally, I love how we can share files with the external world that are to big to email.

One con that I have experienced in the web portal is that sometimes you have to refresh the page in order for it to start working again. Sometimes it seems to get stuck when drilling into the folder structure of your data from the web portal only.

We rely heavily on FileCloud Server Sync to keep the servers in our three offices synced so that employees can all work from the same set of files. This is critically important when we have employees from different offices working on the same projects. FileCloud helps us prevent the formation of data silos where project files collect in a single office and other offices don't have access.

The most challenging part of using FileCloud is getting things set up on the various servers and setting up users for the first time. Once you've done it a couple of times it gets easier. As a small company without an IT department some of the options during setup can seem intimidating.

Support. Their support team is amazing. I just wish all of my vendors were as easy to communicate with. They will actually call you when needed but they are also adept at support via email. Upgrades are breeze and every time I have come up with a very obscure request they have worked with me to implement a solution or work-a-round. 5 stars.

Hard to find something I don't like about this software.

We needed to be able to host the software on premise. There was a lot of file sharing solutions out there but only 2 or three that allowed us to host it on our server. FileCloud was the one that was the closest to our budget.

The deployment was not that easy. It did take a bit of work and some back and forth with their team, but they were very helpful and quick at getting back to us.

The fact that we can send securely to users that don't have a license and we have the option for them to access via a portal - this has been huge and it's very helpful for us and our customers.

The pricing is a bit high but at the same time we haven't had any issues with it. It would be nice if there was a monthly pricing option

The thing i like the most about file cloud is the ease of use of it. Including the interface, which is just like a regular file explorer on my windows PC.

To be quite honest there's not much that can be done to improve the ease of use this product brings.

-the admin side isn't quite as intuitive as the end user front end. with that said, you just need to work with their support team to get a tutorial and walkthrough to wrap your head around how to configure everything and then you are good to go.

This software enabled our department to give our staff members the ability to access their file server data over HTTPS and not even need a VPN to get their data. In addition, the product comes with a drive mount client or a sync client to help users out who may have a slower internet connection from home. It basically enabled a DropBox like product internally for our company.

The Web UI sometimes has issues refreshing and a full refresh of the web page is needed depending on what browser you are using.

The ability to exert granular access control over a sizable group of different document collections.

The permissions setup, while perfect once implemented, can be a little confusing.

File share and file access controll. We were able to utilize guest access.

You need some time to adopt file sharing access control, witch are similar to unix systems.

I love the file sharing and collaboration option, the advanced security to prevent data leakage is excellent. The price is vert aggressive compared to other cloud file storage. The sync with my on prem servers allow business continuity in case of emergency.

It can be very technical to get everything you want out of it. Lots of customization through XML can be challenging if not use to it.

A solution that has allowed us to meet the needs of several customers.
Have a private cloud without blocking confidentiality, mobility and flexibility of access to data from anywhere.

I did not find any problem with this software because it evolves quickly, the developers do a crazy job
