I like the layout and visual aspect of Brandfolder. It is nice to view related files when clicking into assets.

Sometimes difficult to search when you do not know where an asset lives or how it is titled.

It's such an intuitive program and easy for anyone to understand and use.

It took a while to setup from the ground up, but once you have a base organization structure down pat then it's easy to add to and maintain.

Not sure if I have anything I dislike about this software; I guess the tagging system is a little clunky.

Brandfolder is so simple to use, which means it requires little training for our distribution and media partners. We are able to share important brand information and materials quickly and simply, and the templates feature is absolutely incredible. It allows us to provide various marketings materials to our partners, while maintaining brand standards!

The approval process before the asset is live is a little convoluted. I wish there was a way to un-approve assets and instantly make them "historical".

I love that it's user friendly - it's really easy to understand and navigate on the site.

There are some glitches that randomly happen, but usually work themselves out.

Brandfolder is a very easy-to-use and customizable platform that was perfect for creating our company's brand portal. Following the merger and re-brand of our company, we wanted to create a brand portal is to centralize all digital assets, and having an efficient system to manage them is paramount to maximize productivity. As all digital assets are controlled in one place, we can be confident that off-brand or out-of-date assets are no longer available to employees. After reviewing other platforms, we decided to choose Brandfolder as our digital asset hub given the customization, security, and permission levels.

The onboarding team and support were super helpful every step of the way and ensured that we were ready to have a successful launch for our employees. The program is very intuitive and our employees were able to set up their account and use the platform without and training.

Features we liked the most:

Super customizable to the brand (logos, colors, fonts, etc.)
Brand guidelines (set up in the system which links from the Collection)
User rights (different teams can see different assets)
Vanity URL (custom to our brand)
Insights & analytics (easy reporting, can see which assets are being viewed/downloaded the most)

The brand guidelines were one of our favorite features, however, it was not the easiest to design. While there are templates to use and plug and play, we wanted ours to be highly designed to match our brand. To do so, CSS coding is needed. The support team was great in sharing some code ideas from other brand guidelines they have seen. The coding was fairly easy to learn and we were very happy with the end product.

We produce a lot of creative collateral for our client and they use all types of media. So the ability to have one place where you can change the formate and send. Saves A LOT of time.

Honestly there isn't anything we dislike about the software. If I had to pick one, the ability to integrate with more software is always beneficial.

I like that it's a single source of truth for all our assets.

That I can't use the CDN everywhere and the share links need an easier location to reference them.

I appreciate that Brandfolder is constantly improving. Recently they added the ability to customize the page or "brand folder" for the different brands we work on. This is very helpful as a marketing company, since we can offer our clients a tailored assets library that also feels like that brand.

Early on there was some frustration around .eps file types not exporting correctly as a jpeg or png. I believe this issue has since been addressed. I would also appreciate a more seamless drag and drop style editor - like that of a file explorer or a finder on a Mac.

There are so many features to take advantage of within Brandfolder - importing from multiple services, sort in multiple ways, photo info, video embedding, tags, etc. There are a lot of ways you can customize it for what you need.

So many features, it's a little difficult or confusing on how to implement at the beginning. Their team is super helpful though.

Allows us to store all our essential files in one space, when easily see when it was made and updated.

Can be glitchy - when a glitch interferes with our ability to preform our work, it can be debilitating for our workflow

I love the interface and the ease of use of this product. I honestly believe it to be probably one of the easiest DAMs to use on the market. The key reason why we chose Brandfolder above other products was because we were interested in an easy to use solution that would be easily integrated to our existing workflows and also have the capability to deprecate usage as model rights and usage expired. Brandfolder checked off all the boxes.

The onboarding team was pretty hands-off. One thing I was led to believe was that there would be an entire onboarding process to help democratize and communicate the solution. After we signed on with our partnership we were pretty much left to our own devices. I really wish we had received more of a guided experience.

The categories are easy to find, easy to use and can be easily accessed as I need them. I know exactly where to look and what format I need in any situation.

Sometimes it might be missing a format I need - pdf, png, etc. I wish there were an area for our admins to say that format is not available for a specific reason so I know I'm not missing it.

Knowing I have the latest iteration of documents and collateral is absolutely priceless. It makes a huge difference to know when I'm creating something that I have access to all the information and assets I need to be on brand, and coordinating with the rest of our organization.

Nothing! It has been a dream for our organization.
